Say it Straight Trainer was out for a period in Q1-Q2. Onceshe returned, Say it Straight was offered on the after school agenda at Stephen Decatur Middle school but only one youth signed up. The focus has been on sustainability for the program through Staff member becoming certified Master Trainer. This allows staff member to train others to use the model with youth. 6 Additional staff have been trained to implement Say it Straight Model throughout the county. Those trainers planned to complete sessions prior to the end of the year but due to logistical issues, some groups were delayed and some attrition from those groups (3 of the 22 youth not completing the program). Also, some say it Straight outcome measures came out lower than expected. This is believed to be attributed to having new trainers which are less experienced and to testing issues, possibly time of day (after long day of school leading to fatigue).

The shift in number of participants has occurred due to the different focuses of the grant each fiscal year. The first year focused on providing the model in the school system and began to implement into the after school academy in Worcester County. The second year focused on providing the model to multiple schools in Worcester County, which demonstrates the increase in number of participants. The third year focused on training other staff members in the model in order to grow the program to more schools in Worcester County in the upcoming years.
