Description: Food Insecurity is the percentage of the population (adults and children) who did not have access to a reliable source of food during the past year. This measure was modelled using information from the Community Population Survey, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and American Community Survey.
NOTE: Data prior to 2011 is not shown because it is not comparable. Children were added to the data set beginning in 2011.
