Program Summary
BSFT is an evidence-based treatment (SAMSA and OJDP) . BSFT is a family-based intervention aimed at preventing or treating child and adolescent behavioral problems. The goal is to improve child behavior by improving family interaction.
Target Population
Youths 6-17, exhibiting acting-out or CINS like behaviors; and their families residing in Carroll County.
Promising Practice/Model/EBP Employed
BSFT is rated Exemplary 2 from Strengthening America's Families; are effective programs by OJJDP and Effective Communities that Care and is in review by SAMSA and Blueprints for Violence Prevention. CCYSB clinicians are certified in BSFT and maintain high fidelity to the model.
