By the time we were aware that a summer camp program should be completing the YPQA assessment, the camp was already completed.
Summer camp activities were all completed in the first reporting period.
Program Summary
Program assists youth exiting grades 3-5 to facilitate continued education over the summer and encourage student engagement in healthy lifestyle practices. Participants will receive both breakfast and lunch, and will participate in physical fitness and educational activities. Backback lunches are provided to campers for the weekends. Program runs six hours/day, four days/week, for five weeks.
Target Population
The target population includes students from Title I elementary schools in Elkton (Gilpin Manor and Thomson Estates) who are exiting grades 3, 4, or 5.
