Story Behind the Curve
Our youth have had some exceptional experiences this year, most notably with our Summer Enrichment Program. One hundred and sixteen youth participated on our 6 week summer program ranging in age from 6-15 years old. Each day, Club members participated in SMART Moves activities.
The Cecil County Health Department also came and ran healthy habits programming weekly, and Club members also participated in a new program from BGCA called Summer Brain Gain. Each day this summer Club members engaged in high yield academic based programs disguised as fun challenges and activities. The purpose of the program is to reduce summer learning loss which can greatly hinder kids academic progress in the following school year.
