Program Summary
Life Skills is an evidence-based intervention program that addresses drug and alcohol abuse resistance, goal setting, communication, decision making, conflict resolution and other life skills.The program consists of three major components: drug resistance, personal self-management, and general social skills.My Family Matters is a family and parent education program empowering families to identify the needs of their children and the resources available in the community to build strong families and successful students.
Target Population
Life Skills targets elementary, middle and high school youth who are identified by the vendor and their partner agencies as at-risk for substance abuse or delinquent behavior.My Family Matters targets at-risk families in the Title I schools of North East Elementary and Bay View Elementary.
