Program Summary
Training youth-serving professionals to: identify risk factors, warning signs and symptoms for a range of mental health problems, including comorbidity with substance use disorders; build their understanding of the impact and prevalence of mental health problems; be able to provide an overview of common support and treatment resources; utilize an action plan when responding to a mental health emergency.
Target Population
School guidance counselors, staff from the Dept. of Social Services, Dept. of Juvenile Services and Health Department, law enforcement, parents and other youth-serving organization staff and leaders.
