The Local Access Mechanism is designed to support the provision of accurate, up-to-date information about programs and services for children and families through local systems navigation. Families in need of more that resource and referral assistance will referred to Navigation services. These services may include (as requested they the family): urgent assessment, care management, help with completing application, making appointments, and identifying a addressing service capacity issues. Interagency partners will collaborate to maintain and improve protocols for the "no wrong door" strategy and to provide navigation and intensive care coordination services for families with very intensive needs.
