Systems Navigation (Prince George's County) Annual
Program Summary
•Systems Navigation Services are for families who need additional assistance beyond a simple referral, including assistance in identifying strengths and needs and managing through the various systems to obtain needed services. Systems Navigation services are provided by a professional who is trained and certified to administer the Child & Adolescent Needs & Strengths (CANS) assessment tool. The CANS is a multi-purpose tool developed for children’s services to support decision making, including level of care and service planning, to facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and to allow for the monitoring of outcomes of services.
