Program Summary
Youth Employment program that provides youth with paid employment. Programs are community based. Specialized program for foster care and/or court involved youth.
Target Population
Youth ages 15-24 with special emphasis on foster care youth, DJS involved youth.

Quality of Life survey data noted that there needed to be more employment opportunities for youth and that an increase in minimum wage was needed.Business owners have noted that youth do not possess the necessary basic skills to be employed.Research indicates that youth unemployment is often high among deprived areas where there is pessimism over job prospects.Youth employment is often higher among people who have history of broken families, drug use and or criminal records.
