The class has begun we are 3 weeks in. It has been decided with the level of education that the students will take the Serv Safe Handling Class which is geared towards staff and not managers. The students have been taking sample test of the serv safe manager and none have passed so far. It is more important to understand the need for safe food handling then other management components of the test. The students took the test and all but one passed. The one person who failed missed it by 4 points. The test was very difficult for her emotionally and she has opted not to re-take at this time. We have left the opportunity for her to re-take when she is ready since the course is readily available on line.
