H2FY19: For the second half of FY19, measures appear to be continuing a downward trend. The trend is a positive for the children of Worcester County, noting that less incidents of child maltreatment are being found. The CRICKET Center continues to make strides to ensure contacts and visits from family advocate are timely and communication throughout the investigation and prosecution continues. The CRICKET Center will continue to work with those involved in child maltreatment cases to ensure suitable care and support for children and families.
H1FY19: For the first half of FY19, measures appear to be trending downward compared to FY18. The Local Management Board and CRICKET Center staff do not view this trend as negative, but rather that incidents of child maltreatment are not being found, which is positive for the children of Worcester County. The CRICKET Center will continue to work with those involved in child maltreatment cases to ensure suitable care and support for children and families.
Program Summary
FY19 The program, "Children's Resource Intervention Center-Kids Empowerment Team" Child Advocacy Center (CRICKET), is an accredited program by the National Children's Alliance (NCA). The Cricket Center is a non-profit organization which provides a friendly, safe and supportive environment for abused and neglected children. A team approached is used to coordinate investigations and interventions for each case, expediting the child's time in the legal system. A Family Advocate supports a child and family throughout the case providing education, support and follow up. The Cricket Center is available to families free of charge.
