What We Do
Through collaboration between Baylor University, McLennan Community College (MCC), Texas State Technical College (TSTC), the City of Waco and the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, this initiative connects students to the Waco community through internships, volunteer opportunities and recreational activities.
Who We Serve
We aim to keep local talent in the community by connecting students at Baylor, MCC, Texas Tech Waco, Tarleton Waco, and TSTC to internships and full-time jobs.
How We Impact
The initiative tracks the number of local college graduates who accept employment in McLennan County. The objective of the initiative is to retain local talent produced by the five local education institutions, which will lead to economic development in McLennan County. Increasing retention of our educated population will contribute to the initiative’s goal of improving outcomes related to median income (full-time workers and households) in the Waco community.
