Baltimore Hunger Project (Baltimore City FY17 and Beyond) Annual

Story Behind the Curve

The better off and how well measures covered the contents of the packages and youth satisfaction with the packages. Each package included several items including fruit, cereal (grains), shelf stable milk (dairy), and canned goods which fullfilled the meat/vegetable catagories. In addition, BHP was able to send school supplies, hygiene products, and books at times.  The better off measures included surveys of students to determine if youth ate all items provided and if they were satisfied with the food provided. By the end of the year, all students who completed a survey reported that they were satisfied with the food provided and ate all items.
