What Works
- Participated in job fairs to recruit applicants
- Formed partnerships with local agencies to recruit participants, including employment agencies and a local community college
Strategy
The vendor will provide 15 weeks of education & training to include Personal Finance, Career Success, & Job Shadowing with 12 weeks of supportive employment with a trained & certified youth employment coach (6 weeks’ pay from CPA & 6 weeks invested by employers).
Action Plan
The vendor is currently in the process of identifying large churches and other community based organizations that can be a source of referral to the program for youth.

Program Summary
Program to focus on teaching disconnected youth personal finance skills, career success skills, and job shadowing. Success in this course will result in job placement for 12 weeks.

Target Population
Disconnected youth in Wicomico County ages 18-24 not in school and not working. Specifically, these youth will be targeted from partners to include Greater Salisbury Committee, Salisbury Police Department, Board of Education, and others.
