Program Summary
The Allegany County Detention Center Program was developed for incarcerated parents in the County Detention Center. The program will provide parenting classes, opportunities for inmates to have regular contact with their children through phone, mail, and video conferencing technology; provide access to the computers for inmates to take their GED exam while incarcerated, and provide flex funds to help remove employment and educational barriers for incarcerated parents upon release, including assistance with employment related clothing and transportation, assistance with obtaining driver’s licenses, photo ids and birth certificates, and other barriers.

Incarcerated parents housed at the Allegany County Detention Center.
