Greenbelt YSB – Greenbelt CARES meet the following targets by the end of the FY 19:

PM: Number/Percent of youth who participated In GED Program

PM: Number/Percent of youth who completed the Life Skills Workshops       

PM: Number/Percent of  youth who completed their GED classes                        

PM: Number/Percent of youth who increase their Knowledge of professional development and life skills

The provider provided services to youth participating in GED Program and Life Skills Workshops. Although reports from scorecard shows that 43% of youth completed GED Program and 26% of Life Skills Program, according to provider each youth served participated in the GED program and Life Skills Workshops. 

Though In the scorecard it shows that youth who completed Life Skills Workshops is at 26%, the result on scorecard does not correlate with providers data during FY19. Data shows that there was a total of 18 youth served in the Life Skills Workshops. Out of the 18 served, 18 also showed to have compleated the Life Skills Workshops. The rate for compleating the Life Skills Workshop is 100%. Secondly, In the scorecard it shows that youth who completed GED classes is at 43%, the result on scorecard does not correlate with providers data during FY19. Data shows that there was a total of 110 youth served in the GED classes. Out of the 110 served, 110 also showed to have compleated the Life Skills Workshops. The rate for compleating the Life Skills Workshop is 100%

The Greenbelt CARES Youth Service Bureau Disconnected Youth Program targets Disconnected Youth by providing General Education Development (GED) Preparation Classes and Life Skills workshops to youth and young adults 16-24 years of age, who are not connected to school.

Disconnected youth ages 16-24; who are not connected to school. Young adults who reside in Bladensburg, Greenbelt, Lanham and list of service areas. The program also provides services to youth who are habitually truant and disconnected from school and not employed
